a movement
Based on Los Angeles Times article, “La despenalización del aborto en Latinoamérica, una batalla a medio camino,” this illustration reflects the aim and challenge of securing women’s reproductive rights through the court systems of Latin American countries.

About Me
Andrea is a Peruvian-Chinese illustrator based in LA, with a focus in portraiture accompanied by a love of script and all things floral. Working with a variety of traditional materials in addition to her digital work, she aims to recreate emotional states and cultural experiences. Andrea recieved a BA in Art from California State University, Northridge.Her personal work heavily revolves around her upbringing and the cultural disconnect that comes from being raised and living outside of Peru. She also finds importance on making art to bring awareness to important issues, such as reproductive justice and body neutrality.
